Candle Care

When lighting your new soy candle for the first time, burn it until the wax melts across the entire surface up to the sides of the jar.
Soy wax has memory, so this will prevent tunneling and create an even burn for the duration of the candle's life.

Trim your wicks to 1/4th inch before each burn.
Allow your candles to cool completely before trimming your wick to prevent getting debris inside your wax.

Your candle is all done when there's less than 1/4th of wax left.
To ensure safety and not let your flame get too close to the glass, discontinue use when wax id below 1/4th inch.

To prevent fire and serious injuries, always burn candles within sight.
Keep away from animals, small children, and other flammable objects.

It's a good idea to turn off ceiling fans while burning candles are in the room to prevent fire hazards.
This can also cause uneven burning and lead to tunneling.

Use a candle snuffer to extinguish lit candles.
It is the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.

If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, wait for it to cool, then wipe it with a clean damp cloth.
Trim your wick and relight!
